Jack Tierney joins Onward as Senior Manager of Sales

Onward is eager to announce a new Senior Manager of Sales to the team, Jack Tierney! Jack brings almost eight years of experience in the education technology space, previously working for Guild and 2U in capacities ranging from individual contributor to Director. In those roles, he enjoyed building & scaling teams while helping to bring new products, whether it be debt-free, online degrees or name-brand Master’s level programs, and experiences to consumers. Jack’s extensive experience in sales and customer success will allow us to integrate new and effective solutions to the marketplace and ensure alignment with the company’s financial and strategic goals. Jack will lead the sales team providing leadership, direction, and an executive vision to ensure customer satisfaction.

What is your position at Onward?

‍

I’m a Senior Manager of Sales. I mainly focus on the day-to-day management of Account Executives and getting Onward’s name out to as many shippers and retailers as possible. Additionally, I’m spending a lot of time focusing on the next iteration of Onward’s sales strategy, how to introduce our unique solution to the marketplace, and establishing Onward as the final mile’s industry leader for white glove solutions.

Are you currently binge-watching any shows?

‍

Oh, man. First off, always. I don’t know if baseball games count as a show, but I watch a lot of baseball games. We’ve also been watching Bridgerton and rewatching Veep.

What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?

‍

Greece. My wife and I (married in February 2022) are hoping to make it out there in the near future!

What’s your favorite snack?

‍

Chocolate chip cookies.

When you aren’t working, what are you usually doing?

‍

You’ll usually find me either in a tree stand or on the golf course.
